EXOM Engineering is a specialized provider of industrial laser solutions for welding and surface treatment, integrating proprietary developments in artificial vision and real-time process automation. Our engineering expertise spans key areas such as opto-mechanics, mechatronics, embedded software, and laboratory-based process validation.
What sets EXOM Engineering apart is our ability to deliver comprehensive, customized laser solutions. Leveraging our modular and adaptable SdLBS® technology, we design systems that integrate manipulation systems, laser heads, and laser sources, enabling us to meet the specific demands of each process and client requirement.
Based in the metropolitan region of Bilbao, we have strong links to most R&D centers in the area and we are active members of

Embedded Software
Using FPGA and GPU technology, we develop software and firmware for low latency real-time processing. Typical applications are hardware accelerated machine vision, cryptographic algorithms and digital signal processing. Our hardware and programming team builds magic on integrated cards.
Real Time Processing
We have developed systems to process huge amounts of data and deliver instant reliable output. Error or differences detection in quick production lines, temperature management and automatic locking systems are some example applications that we deliver.
Machine Vision
Whether it is in the visible spectrum or in the infrared, we are used to integrate most types of camera systems in our solutions. We will choose the best alternatives to get the most efficient solution for you. Zero-defects processes are our best customers and some of our happiest successes.
Non-Ferrous Metals Manufacturing
Aluminium and/or copper laser welding are our draught horses. Using machine vision, real time processing and automation control we empower the welding solutions of our customers to produce the smoothest joints at the highest quality.
Opto-Mechanics
We are in love with photonics and we create applicable solutions to complex requirements taking advantage of it. We design, develop and produce optomechanical solutions, including mid & high power laser solutions, integration of NIR sensors and machine vision.
Mechatronics
We have sound experience integrating functionalities into moving systems. We combine mechanics, electronics, control theory, and computer science within our customers’ solutions, in order to improve and optimize them.
